H. Crowther was born within a few miles of the club to which he belongs, and not many better forwards have been produced by Yorkshire. Only accidents and ill health have kept from International honours. He has excellent speed and besides putting his weight into the scrums, he breaks quickly away and can enter into passing movements. He is a player who can also fill a back position. Crowther has represented his county, and has more tham once been in the running for International honours.
