It has been a working man's club since its formation and is to-day. The club was founded by working men and it has been the working man's pride to develop and manage it throughout.(Quoted from Jubilee Souvenir Programme, 1938)
Hunslet were one of the founder members of the Northern Union. Since that time the club has known it's ups and downs, from being the first club to win all four trophies in one season to selling their ground and almost going out of existence in the 1970s.This web site is an effort to remember this history, from the earliest beginnings to the loss of a home in 1971.
